The Role

As a vital member of our leadership team, you will balance the art of dining with the precision of high-volume operations. You will be responsible for:

  • Creative Collaboration: Working side-by-side with Chef Whitman on menu development and daily culinary updates.
  • Operational Excellence: Expediting busy services with poise and ensuring the kitchen remains a model of order and cleanliness.
  • The Team: Coaching, managing, and inspiring a diverse Back-of-House team to reach their full potential.
  • Product Stewardship: Handling premium ingredients with respect, from pristine Japanese seafood and specialized imports to the best of our local seasonal produce.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between the kitchen, Front-of-House, and management. Bilingual skills (English/Japanese/Spanish) are a significant plus.
  • Expertise: Deep product knowledge and a refined palate.
  • Growth Mindset: A self-motivated drive to learn, grow, and constantly find ways to improve the restaurant.
